Gockel Architects is a Brisbane-based residential architecture office working across South East Queensland and the Darling Downs.
Our work is shaped by place, climate and the way people live, with an emphasis on proportion, material, light and landscape.
PLACE
Each home responds to its site — orientation, climate, views, landscape and context.
The aim is for the architecture to feel grounded in its setting and belong naturally to its place.
LIVING
Plans are organised around how people want to live.
We consider how spaces connect, adapt over time and relate to the landscape.
MATERIAL
We work with restrained palettes of robust, natural materials used consistently inside and out.
Texture, light and material do much of the work, allowing the architecture to remain calm and enduring.
CONSTRUCTION
Design and construction are treated as one continuous process.
We remain closely involved through documentation and construction, resolving details thoughtfully to ensure the design intent is realised on site.
